Dear mail list members,

I very recently joined the beta network and have issues with the
LISP config of my router (a FritzBox 6360 cable). I've been
discussing this with Albert Lopez and only a few minutes ago got
attracted by this mail list. I can only guess how many receipients
there are, but allow me to re-post my latest question here:
Hi Albert,

thanks again for the additional addresses. I get both an IPv4 and
an IPv6 address from my provider, which the router reports to my
eMail address when they are refreshed. The router allows to select
which one is "native". I tested both matching configurations, i.e.
"native" dynamic IPv4 with IPv4 LISP settings, and the same for
IPv6. I also tested native IPv4 (=Dual Stack, according to the
settings) with IPv6 LISP.
None of these worked: the LISP status page indicates garndt-xtr as
inactive, and the router uses regular dynamic addresses.
The following are the settings which I usually use:

Don't be scared about the german explanations - I'm sure you're
able to get the meaning if necessary.
Is it possible for my provider to prevent the usage of LISP? They
manage firmware updates of the router remotely, so I guess they
would have turned of its LISP config page in that case, but who
knows? Too bad Unitymedia's customer service has been becoming
worse recently...

Kind regards,
Gunnar
Your Internet provider gives you an IPv4 or an IPv6 address?
You can check it in any 'what is my ip' page.
If your Internet provider is using IPv6, then these are the
data to be used:
Dear Albert and maintainers,

thank you for the login data. I haven't yet succeeded in
actually joining the network. There does not seem to a lot
that could be configured the wrong way in my "FritzBox"
router:

There is another tab that allows a static IPv6 address to be
set, but if I set the EID prefix for IPv6 there, too, the
internet access does not work any longer, so I returned to the
recommended DHCPv6 option.
My provider is Unitymedia (formerly KabelBW), a cable TV
provider. You don't happen to have information if they allow
their customers to use LISP, do you?
There does not seem to be much information for end users about
LISP in the web. Can you give me a hint how to proceed? Thanks
again.

Kind regards,
Gunnar
