I've tested both configuration options (IPv4 and IPv6) with the
respective LISP settings, but that does not change anything. I keep
getting the same dynamic addresses from Unitymedia - both IPv4 and
IPv6, no matter what the router's config looks like. Here's a
screenshot of that config page once more. It probably looks a bit
different from yours for 'common' DSL, as it is for TV cable (you
know that already, but maybe other readers don't).
I even tried to use static IPv6 settings with the LISP IPv6 address,
in addition to the regular LISP setting in the relevant config page,
but that results in slow internet access only by IPv4. But no
success...
If your Internet provider is using IPv6, then these are the data to be
used:

Please check if you have a native IPv6 access.
As far as I know, Unitymedia is providing native IPv6 and often using
only shared IPv4 addresses.
If this is the case LISP will not run with IPv4 as RLOC address family!
So please configure the IPv6 adresses (and *not* the IPv4 addresses) as
mentioned by Albert.

Dear Albert and maintainers,
thank you for the login data. I haven't yet succeeded in actually
joining the network. There does not seem to a lot that could be
configured the wrong way in my "FritzBox" router:
There is another tab that allows a static IPv6 address to be set, but
if I set the EID prefix for IPv6 there, too, the internet access does
not work any longer, so I returned to the recommended DHCPv6 option.
My provider is Unitymedia (formerly KabelBW), a cable TV provider.
You don't happen to have information if they allow their customers to
use LISP, do you?
There does not seem to be much information for end users about LISP
in the web. Can you give me a hint how to proceed? Thanks again.
Kind regards,
Gunnar

You can slice up your prefixes into more specifics and distribute
them between more than one device if that becomes necessary, just
make sure they don’t overlap.
